Suppy Management Training Certificate Program

Supply Management Training (SMT) is a fast growing, global field with tremendous employment opportunities in today’s market. Recently, there has been increasing demand for supply chain managers but limited availability, resulting in new and exciting positions available from entry to mid-level. York College of Business offers opportunities to prepare you to boost your competitive edge and become leaders of supply chain management.

In collaboration with the Ontario Institute of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (OIPMAC), York College of Business now offers Certificate Programs in Supply Management Training. OIPMAC is the leading professional association delivering supply management training and professional development programs. With SMT training, you will learn the fundamentals of procurement, transportation, logistics and operations; gain recognition to your skills development; demonstrate your ability to take up more responsibility; and increase your productivity and efficiency.

The SMT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The SMT certificate program consists of ten (10) required courses. There are no prerequisites for any of the certificate courses. The courses are outlined below:

C.P.P. designation

Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be able to find employment as: Junior/Senior Buyer, Purchasing Assistants, Logistics Clerk/Assistant, Procurement Specialist, Production Administrator, Inventory Administrator, Warehouse Clerks, Commodity Manager, Distribution Supervisor, General Manager, Chief Procurement/Supply Officer, Warehouse & Distributor/Team Lead. SMT certificate program will open a door leading to C.P.P. (Certificated Professional Purchaser) designation. The C.P.P. designation sets the national standard for excellence in strategic supply chain management in Canada and is the most sought-after achievement in the profession.
