General Admission Requirements
Applicants should meet the following general admission requirements and should have sufficient financial support for full time of study at York College of Business.
- Ontario Grade 12 or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- TOEFL score of 500 for the paper based test or 173 for the computer-based test; or IELTS score of 5.5 with no band scored lower than 5.0; or acceptable equivalent
- If student's English score is below the minimum requirement, he/she may be admitted into YCB's English Language program prior to entering YCB's Diploma Program.
- Additional academic prerequisites may be needed for specific programs or courses.
- Applicants with an acceptable combination of education and working experience but who do not meet the formal requirements may apply for evaluation by the Admission Board of YCB.
Application Procedure
1. Please read all the instructions carefully
2. Provide all requested information
3. Complete specific application form(s) for the program selected
4. Complete the Student Services Request Form (if applicable):

5. Submit application forms, with supporting documents and the application fee.
6. York College of Business will issue a conditional letter of acceptance.
7. The applicant should then submit proof of payment of the required deposit.
8. Applicants should send a copy of their student visa and inform YCB of the date of arrival as soon as the visa document and travel information are available.
Important Note:
For all the Programs: Students who do not meet YCB's English requirement MUST take an English Placement Test (FREE – there is no fee for this English Placement Test). |
